Marilynn Mina
FEMALE | SIXTEEN | HETEROSEXUAL | SECOND |
ANIMAL SHIFTING | ANIMAL COMMUNICATION |
POWER DESCRIPTIONS
Through the years Marilynn learned how to communicate with the animals around her, as well as take their form. Being able to talk to animals was almost like second nature to her, being able to form into them was self-taught. Her ability to talk to animals is slightly controlled, though to be able to take their form is still very hard for her. Taking their form is hard on command but if she takes her time and focuses she can almost do it successfully. These powers have always been a way for Marilynn to escape her reality, though her parents don't know she can do such things, and often times thinks she's talking to herself.
APPEARANCE
Marilynn has long blonde hair that falls just below her waist. Her hair is thin and doesn't have much volume. Her eyebrows are a darker blonde color and naturally arched. She had big, icy blue eyes with thin but long eyelashes. She has a small button nose with naturally pink lips that are very thin. Her skin is very fair with little to no marks. Her body is very petite and everything is proportional. She doesn't have a typical outfit that she wears, it depends on the weather and occasion.
PERSONALITY
Marilynn has a slightly complex personality. From spending a lot of time with animals she has become alert to her surroundings. She takes note of the things, and people around her. She was always very compassionate towards others. From her father she has become very disciplined, she knows her place and doesn't have to be told. Due to this she has become unambitious not really having any goals in life, and has become submissive, she is easily pushed around. She is easily frightened and cowardly, never the first to try something new. When she is nervous she tends to chew on her hair. When she is bored she tends to hum popular songs to herself. She enjoys appreciating art, and taking walks. She dislikes listening to people talk.
BIOGRAPHY
Marilynn was born a single child to a middle-class family. She was raised in New York, Long Island and lived in an apartment in the middle of the city. For the most part, she got everything that she wanted. Granted she didn't ask for much. Both her mother and father worked, and as soon as she was old enough she was put into pre-school so her mother could go back to work. Her mother was very compassionate and loving. Her father was mostly working, and it almost felt as if he was never home. Growing it he was always very strict, it was nothing new, but he was also caring.
At the young age of six, she found a calico cat behind her apartment building, she was obviously pregnant but she was so skinny her bones were showing. She took on the role of feeding her and taking care of her. She kept this secret to herself, not knowing how her parents would feel about it. The day had come for her to give birth and Marilynn obviously didn't know how to handle the situation, but she tried the best she could. Marilynn had a blanket, water, food, and towels for the cat. She wanted to be able to help. The cat had given birth to three kittens. Two of them came out stillborn, and the last one was an all white female. The mother was hardly washing the kit, and before she knew it, the mother feels still. Marilynn was horrified by what she had seen, but she was desperate for the remaining kit to survive, she had grown close to the calico mother and she was going to make sure her only living child would survive. She buried the mother and the kits together where she had given birth. She knew pets weren't allowed in the apartments, so she was going to have to hide the kit.
A year had past and the cat was alive and healthy, though her parents were going through a tough time. Her father had been given the pink slip at work and was struggling to find a new job. His irritation had led to him being even more strict than usual, almost scary so. Marilynn had seen her father beating her mother more than once, thankfully she had never fallen victim to these beatings. She had grown very close to the cat she raised, sometimes she almost felt like she could understand what the cat was saying, but she didn't take much notice to it, she always felt like she could understand the cat.
One day her father came into her room, unexpectedly, and her cat was laying on her bed. It was as if confusion and anger mixed with frustrations from being home all the time had taken over her father. He told her to get rid of the cat, but Marilynn wasn't going to give up her up. Because of her disobedience her father take the cat from her. He took his frustration out on the helpless cat, slowly taking the life out of its body. Marilynn felt like she could understand everything her cat was saying, she was calling out for help and there was nothing she could do. Her father killed her cat and she felt more alone in the world than ever before.
Five years had passed since the brutal killing of her best friend, she was now twelve. She was in middle school and surrounded by people she felt no attachment to. Of course, she had acquaintances, but she kept herself rather distant. Her favorite time of the day was going to the pet shelter after school to help out. Over time, every year, she felt closer to animals. She always offered to do any job that was up close and personal with the animals. She soon began to realize that she could hold conversations with animals, and This was when she was accepted into a strange school.
